Cary Liao is a photographer and web designer based in New Jersey, specializing in concert and aviation photography. Cary's work was first featured in a national publication when he was 19, and his photos have since appeared in prominent magazines such as National Geographic Adventure, Popular Photography, Alternative Press, and Aviation Week & Space Technology.

Having developed a fascination with airplanes at an early age, Cary naturally became involved in commercial aviation photography. After many trips to area airports and attending several airline press events, he became a regular photographer for Airline Pilot Careers Magazine, landing five cover photos.

Aviation photography became considerably more of a challenge following 9/11, and Cary turned his focus to other subject matter. He began photographing concerts in 2005, aided by contacts from his clothing company, Verona Clothing, and through his web design for the bands Hidden in Plain View and Punchline.

In the Summer of 2005, Cary learned about Atlantic Puffins and lighthouses while researching photographic opportunities for an upcoming trip to Maine. He has since grown fond of both subject matters, and seeks out these new interests in his travels around the globe.
