West Nile Isn’t Just a River in Maine

So, I have returned from Maine with lots of pictures and lots of mosquito bites! In fact, I was bitten a total of 9 times on my right elbow alone on the first night in Portland — quite impressive if you ask me :) The hotel room in Bar Harbor was awesome…it was big and had a great view of Frenchman Bay. I somehow managed to wake up at 4:00-4:30am every morning I was there, so I could catch the sunrise. One of the early mornings I went out to Otter Point, a red squirrel came out to say hi. When I came back later that afternoon, he came out and darted across the rocky boulders to see me again. He was cool, but was only interested in talking about the great weather. As expected, the North Atlantic Puffins were the highlight of the trip. They have tiny wings, so they would fly around and land out-of-control. When I head back to Maine in 3 weeks, I want to take pics of the Red Fox, my second favorite animal behind those lovable puffins. Oh, and there were lots of people from New Jersey there. Go figure.
